THE OTHER is a psychological science-fiction film about memory, identity, and the fragile boundary between human consciousness and artificial reconstruction. Fifteen years after Lena Voss disappeared during a failed deep-space mission, she returns to Earth carrying biological samples that could offer humanity a second chance. But the woman who comes back may not be the woman who left. Reconstructed from a neural backup containing Lena’s memories, emotions, and experiences, she believes she is human. As fragments of the original mission begin to surface, one question grows impossible to ignore: If every memory survives, but the original person is gone, who—or what—has returned?
